What is the science behind using multiple exposures to create a HDR panorama and High Dynamic Range Images.hdri

This process involves shooting multiple exposures of the same scene, from extremes of over exposure and under exposure, that are then merged into one image. This combines the brightest and darkest areas of a scene that you are usually unable to capture in a single shot, resulting in one or a number of high dynamic range images.

This is something our eyes are capable of seeing everyday naturally and why we often see a “great photograph” only to find when we get back home that the image we are viewing is never quite what we remembered.

HDRi solves this problem and is especially useful when shooting architectural photography, landscape photography, VR photography and off course HDR panoramas as these often contain areas in dark shadow and bright sunlight.

At 360 Deg we use this technique within all our 360 Degree Virtual Tours to provide you with a much higher clarity and definition of imagery to aid your prospective clients to view a truer representation of your site.
